Career Pathways & Program Design
Career Pathways and Program Design connects learners to real opportunity and puts them on a path toward economic mobility. We design programs aligned to labor market demand, employer needs, and the realities of delivery.
Our work goes beyond
program structure.
We consider the full context in which learners are navigating these pathways, including the social determinants that can impact persistence and completion. We design with those realities in mind so programs are not only accessible, but sustainable for the people they are meant to serve.
Career pathway programs are built with multiple entry and exit points and developed in partnership with schools, employers, community organizations, and supportive service providers. This ensures alignment across systems and durability over time.
Common Reasons Organizations Engage Us
Organizations engage us to evaluate existing programs, design new pathways, or expand proven models into new sectors. Many are building on successful efforts such as behavioral health or teacher preparation pathways, while working to strengthen alignment with workforce demand and long-term outcomes.
Our Approach
We integrate labor market data, stakeholder input, systems mapping, and implementation realities to design programs that work in practice and create long-term opportunity.
Our approach also includes designing sustainable funding strategies, including blended and braided funding models, to ensure programs are financially durable and able to scale over time.

CASE STUDY
We secured funds from the Behavioral Health Administration to develop pilot PTECH programs in behavioral health with Aurora Public Schools, the Community College of Aurora, and major providers in the area to support high school students to gain skills and employment in the behavioral health field for free and cultimnating in in-demand degrees and work-based learning experiences.

Your Questions, Answered
-
Career pathways are structured, intentional routes that help people — especially those who have historically and currently face barriers — move from education or training into stable, quality employment and economic mobility. We help organizations design programs and systems that make those routes clear, navigable, and effective for the people they serve.
-
It depends on where you are in the process. We can help with everything from initial concept and stakeholder input to curriculum alignment, partner mapping, defining outcomes, and building the operational structures needed to run a program well. We meet you where you are.
-
Absolutely. Program redesign is just as common as building something new. We'll take an honest look at what's working, what isn't, and why — then help you make practical improvements grounded in both data and the experience of the people you serve.
-
Equity is central to how we approach this work. We emphasize centering the voices of program participants and communities in the design process, examining data through an equity lens, and building in feedback mechanisms so programs can continue to improve over time.
Building Pathways That Last
We work across education systems, government agencies, nonprofits, and philanthropy to turn ideas into programs that operate in real communities. Our work is grounded in data, shaped by community voice, and built to last.
